DaimlerChrysler to recall 29 Viano cars in China - Xinhua

02.14.07, 6:56 PM ET BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - DaimlerChrysler AG will recall 29 Viano cars in mainland China, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The news agency, citing a notice from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, reported that the company had said manufacturing errors meant a joint in the gasoline tank might crack in a collision, allowing fuel to leak out.

The cars to be recalled were produced between Oct 4 and Oct 18 last year.
