Jeep World of Adventure on Tap

PORTLAND, Maine—- NBC Jeepâ World of Adventure Sports (JWOAS), an action and adventure sports series, will air its next episode on Sunday, September 17 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time. Host Pat Parnell of NBC Sports will visit Camp Jeep, an off-road festival including the Jeep King of the Mountain biking competition, to present the next show. The next episode features:

· 2006 Kiehl’s Badwater Ultramarathon, a true “challenge of the champions”. This legendary foot race pits up to 90 of the world’s toughest athletes – runners, triathletes, adventure racers, and mountaineers – against one another and the elements. Racers cover 135 miles non-stop from Death Valley to Mt. Whitney, CA in temperatures up to 130F.

· Red Bull Crashed Ice – a thrilling and wild combination of hockey, downhill skating and boardercross in the historic city of Québec. One hundred adrenaline junkies race down an intricate 1,100-foot urban ice course featuring whoops, stairs, bermed turns and narrow chutes.

Teton Gravity Research’s journey in British Columbia with athletes Seth Morrison, Eric Themel, Jonas Emery, and Jeremy Nobis. The crew travels by helicopter in search of fresh, untracked terrain in the mountains.

Team PUMA Velo-City Series 2006, a sequence of cycling events and races testing the speed, accuracy and skill of Team PUMA, an elite group of New York City Bike Messengers, who race with and against other talented messengers and cyclists around the country.
