Chrysler 300C SRT-8 Touring - Euro version

Mon 11 Dec, 2006, 14:01
LONDON | ENGLAND - - A right-hand drive, UK version of the 168mph Chrysler 300C SRT-8 estate will be launched in February 2007.

It's powered by the same 425bhp, 6.1-litre HEMI V8 seen in the saloon, so the big estate should be good for 60mph in 5 seconds. As we're blessed with bumpy, twisty roads in Britain, this version will feature revised suspension with specially tailored springs and Bilstein dampers. The new bodykit is designed to reduce lift and drag and incorporates two air vents that help cool the Brembo brakes. Other aesthetic touches include 20-inch wheels and twin-exhausts.

Justifying Chrysler UK's decision to launch the high-performance estate in GB, its Managing Director, Peter Lambert said 'The 300C range has enjoyed massive success in the UK this year... there will always be a place for a car like the HEMI-powered 300C SRT-8 with driving enthusiasts here in the UK'.

We won't argue with that. You can expect a launch price of £40,990.
