Mercedes-Benz Stars With The Devil Wears Prada Both Onscreen And Off

2007 S-Class Makes its Feature Film Debut and Off-screen, Mercedes-Benz USA Hosts Philanthropic Private Screenings in Markets Nationwide

MONTVALE, NJ – The new-generation 2007 Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan is featured in the motion picture THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, opening on June 30th. Runway Magazine editor Miranda Priestly - the primary architect of a formidable fashion empire - uses the all-new S-Class as her means of transportation as she is chauffeured between meetings and events around New York (shown in Iridium Silver) and Paris (shown in Black).

It is ideal casting that the most powerful woman in fashion has the vehicle that Forbes says “is the perfect car for executives, whether they prefer to drive or be driven.”

The car plays a strong role in a pivotal scene as the backdrop that reveals the heart of the story, as Andy Sachs – Miranda Priestly’s unfortunate assistant, determined to succeed through her journey of self-discovery – is chauffeured along side Miranda in her 2007 Mercedes-Benz S550.

The two share a rare intimate moment as they are being driven from a press luncheon in Paris, where Miranda has made a shocking announcement. Leveraging the car’s presence in the THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and echoing its fashion-forward plot Mercedes-Benz USA is hosting special advanced screenings across the country that support philanthropies who will be running apparel and shoe drives to support businesswomen in need.

Screenings will take place from June 27th to 29th in the following markets with the following philanthropic beneficiaries: Atlanta, GA with Dress For Success, invitees from Links; Newport Beach, CA with Dress For Success, invitees from 44 Women for Children, The Sophisticates and Sound of Music; Raleigh, NC with Dress For Success, invitees from Links; Washington, D.C with Suited for Change; and Indianapolis, IN, Kansas City, MO, Richmond Heights, MO benefiting Dress For Success in each market, invitees from the local Junior League chapters; New York, NY with Milbank/Pelham Fritz, invitees from the NY Junior League. The cause-related partners are all involved in making positive changes for women, both in their careers and in themselves.
