7.10.1916 - Woodrow Wilson tours the Highland Part, MI plant of the Ford Motor Company, marking the first time that a sitting President had visited an automobile factory

7.10.1926 - Sol Witner Sanders, biographer of Soichiro Honda, is born in Atlanta, GA

7.10.1940 - The Graham-Paige Motors Corporation reopens its factory to build a final run of Series 133 Graham Hollywood Custom sedans using on the old Cord 810 body dies

7.10.1950 - New York City imported car dealer Max Hoffman receives a shipment of twenty Volkswagens, the first to be imported into the United States
