Mercedes settles with NLRB

Automotive News / November 13, 2006 - 1:00 am VANCE, Ala. -- A six-month dispute between Mercedes-Benz U.S. International and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, which sought to organize workers at Mercedes' ssembly plant here, has ended in a settlement.

The parties reached an agreement last week with the assistance of an administrative law judge, said Doug Marshall, resident officer for the National Labor Relations Board's office in Birmingham, Ala. He said he could not disclose the terms of the settlement.
