A new year means new models for manufacturers and drivers.

SI.COM - - While everyone knows that Toyota plans to debut its Camry on the Cup circuit in '07, Dodge and Chevrolet plan to change models for next season. Dodge will run the Avenger, while Chevrolet will run the Impala SS. All three are waiting for NASCAR to sign off on the final templates for models. These changes will have teams building new fleets of chassis and could have drastic effects on Cup competition.

Manufacturers and NASCAR also plan to change the models used in the Busch Series, though this switch is several seasons away. The plan is to race smaller, sportier models such as the Ford Mustang, the Chevrolet Camaro and the Toyota Solara.

Manufacturers aren't the only racing entities eyeing changes for next season. Robby Gordon will switch to Fords in '07 while Mark Martin is moving to a Chevrolet team.

NASCAR officials and manufacturers are working on changing over the Busch Series lineup by 2010 with cars such as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger and Toyota Solara.
